Apartment Internet Marketing Conference Now Available to 'Attend' Online

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Realty DataTrust, the founding sponsor of the Apartment Internet Marketing Conference (AIM), and the makers of the online leasing solution, VaultWare(TM), today launched its entire Fall 2006 AIM conference via free online video at http://www.apartmentinternetmarketing.com/. The conference, held last October 18-20, was invitation-only attracting over 50 companies and nearly 100 influential apartment industry executives who heard in person from renowned Internet experts like Travelocity founder, Terry Jones, real estate marketing expert, Spencer Frasher of Google, Inc. and real estate author, Danielle Babb, PhD.

Additionally, high-profile multifamily housing industry executives, Tom Toomey, CEO, United Dominion Realty Trust (UDRT) and Fred Tuomi, President of Property Management, Equity Residential, participated in a panel addressing best practices using the Internet as a crucial marketing tool for today's savvy apartment owner. The on-demand conference also features other panels and speakers, plus it showcases produced videos that debuted at the conference. A popular segment of the conference featured Indy Racing League and NASCAR driver, Adrian Fernandez. His dialogue with AIM Founder, Mike Mueller, about racing gave the audience a unique perspective of pursuing success, whether you are on the racetrack or conducting your business "race" online.

The videos feature over 30 multifamily executives like Cecil Phillips, CEO, Place Properties; Ric Campo, CEO, Camden Property Trust; David Cardwell, Vice President of Capital Markets and Technology for the National MultiHousing Council; Bill Donges, CEO, Lane; Ron Terwilliger, CEO, Trammel Crow Residential; Julie Smith, President, Bozutto Management; Leonard Wood, Founder, Wood Partners; Bill Wollinger, President, Winn Residential; and Geoffrey Stack, Managing Director, Sares-Regis, amongst others, discussing topics relevant to the apartment industry. The videos which are accessible on the site at http://www.apartmentinternetmarketing.com/ cover topics such as the changing role of today's leasing agent, the importance of online leasing and the evolution of online marketing as related to print and other traditional media.

Industry leader Julie Smith, Bozutto Management, agrees that having a conference dedicated to marketing multifamily properties on the Internet is important to the future of the industry because it has become such a pervasive piece of the apartment shopping equation. "I think 100% of residents will use the Internet for some part of the research they do to find an apartment home. Some may use the Internet start to finish. They may research an apartment; they may rent an apartment sight unseen and the first time they see anyone in the office will be the day they come and pick up their keys."

"Our live AIM conference wasn't just about Internet stars, race car celebrities and high-impact networking, although all of that is what makes AIM so different from everything else out there. It was also about making our audience real Internet advocates who will go back to their companies and affect change," said Mike Mueller, AIM Founder and President of Realty DataTrust. "My passion is to see the AIM initiative create a dialogue that turns into action, and for the Internet tools that are available to help the apartment industry succeed, be embraced instead of feared. We started with an invitation-only event in 2005 and it has come so far. Now we're happy to bring the conference to everyone in the industry, on-demand, through the convenience of the very tool we are touting as crucial in improving the way the entire industry leases apartments -- the Internet."

What is the Apartment Internet Marketing Conference?

In 2005, multifamily housing entrepreneur, Mike Mueller, made a decision to rock the apartment industry with a set of ideas that would change the way the multifamily industry would forever think of the Internet. As a visionary who revolutionized the industry by starting one of the first Internet Listing Services in the mid 1990s', he's continued to make an impact and has continued to lead the charge in taking the apartment industry to the next level. The Apartment Internet Marketing Conference (known as AIM) is held to educate and inform apartment owners about the trends, advantages and opportunities that exist with the Internet. Today, AIM has developed a reputation as the most impactful Internet marketing conference in the multifamily housing industry. The next AIM Conference is being planned for the spring of 2008.
